Asimbiosis

Asimbiosis is a sculptural series inspired by scenes where nature and the city intersect. The juxtaposition of materials serves as a conceptual and visual guide to analyze the urban environment as a space full of symbols, whose mere presence impacts both our cognitive processes and the experience and behaviors we adopt in each space. The questions that arise from this body of work are intertwined with philosophical approaches to what is natural, what is the impact of the environment on the perception of reality and the possible forms of life that derive from the coexistence between the biological and the industrial.

This installation aims to provoke a dialogue about our nature and the vulnerability of matter to the passage of time, highlighting the perpetual cycles of decay that define our existence. It presents an alternate reality in which the inorganic, the artificial and the industrial are transformed into vital symbionts; a landscape constituted by a series of sculptures that evoke organic silhouettes made of wood, bone, ash, concrete, iron and found objects; alluding to discordant fragments of the everyday urban landscape.
